Silk Crib Size QuiltThis wa my first attempt at machine piecing and when I look at it now it seems so awfull! The first mistake was to use silk as a beginner; it's all very soft and slippery and pulling out of square. There's a minimal amount of in the ditch quilting which was so badly done with huge pleats on the back that I have recently unpicked it and re-done it, but as the backing doesn't fit the front I couldn't eliminate them all. Then there's the binding! Eased on rather than slightly stretched and in places there is no wadding behind the fabric. I leave it here just to make myself feel better about subsequent efforts. The pattern is just four strip squares cut into triangles and re-assembled.
