This is not much bigger than a cot quilt and was made as an exercise to understand the different ways of combining the light and darktriangles of different colours.

Lilac and Beige QuiltThis was made using some of the triangles left over from the lilac and green quilt together with some pinky/beige triangles. In true scrap quilt philosophy I raided my stash and found some ticking for the back and some left over bump for the wadding, but I did buy new fabric for the border. There is no proper binding, I just turned the raw edges of front and back in and top-stitched them together. There is machine quilting in the ditch around the colour stripes. |
