Family Seach shows that there was a marriage at Bodiam, Sussex on 09 April 1685 of John Foreman and Mary Hollands. This couple were probably my 7 x great grandparents. Tthere is an entry in Boyd's Marriage Index of Canterbury Marriage Licences for John Foreman and Mary Sandwell to be married at Canterbury St Andrews on 03 May 1680, but given the geography the marriage at Bodiam is much more likely to be the correct one.
Mary Hollands was bap 18 Jul 1652 at Bodiam, Sussex, daughter of Thomas Hollands and Elizabeth Mannington.John and Mary subsequently lived in Horsmonden where they had six daughters baptized.
